Employers in Singapore’s globalised economy value the mixture of international experience and local cultural understanding that Singaporean returners can offer. We were intrigued to uncover what these potential returners’ motivations are and how employers can go about attracting them back to Singapore.To help answer these questions, we contacted nationals and those who have lived or worked in Singapore before, who are either studying or working overseas, but thinking about coming back to Singapore for their next career step. 420+ completed a confidential online questionnaire in October/November 2014.
